Car Do was the 1976 movie produced by Universal Pictures. It was directed by Michael Schultz from a screenplay by Joel Schumacher.
It starred Franklin Ajaye, Ivan Dixon, Darrow Ignus, James Sprinks, Bill Duke, and Antonio Fargas as the central employees of boss Sully Boyar and was a comedy about a "day-in-the-life" of the Los Angeles, California car wash. A film featured many unusual client arriving throughout a course of the film, including Richard Pryor as a greedy preacher, a original Pointer Sisters supporting Richard Pryor's character, George Carlin as a taxi cab driver, & Irwin Corey as the 'mysterious pop bottle bomber'. Richard Pryor's inclusiaround in a film was the fact that was played on per promoters sequentially for further humans to follow the film which has resulted in numerous miscreditings of Richard Pryor as a star of the motion-picture show.
the film received mediocre reviews & was non the major profits, though since its initial release it has experienced a microscopic however constant resulting. But, its soundtrack album, recorded by Rose Royce, proved very popular. A "Car Wash" title track, written and by Norman Whitfield, was a #1 hit & was one of a large hit singles of the disco era. Inside 2004 the song was agaaround featured in the film while it was performed by Christina Aguilera featuring Missy Elliott for the film Shark Tale. Their version was as well the real hit throughout the world.
Trivia
The car do within downtown Los Angeles was demolished in the early 1980s. Until the business closed, a big sign saying that Car Do experienced been filmed there, was displayed before of the business.
